I took my 14 year old son for a general cleaning and a tooth extraction. Although I was more nervous than my son, there was absolutely nothing to worry about. Dr. Bui was so great! She made myself as a worried mom, more than comfortable. As for my son, she was informative, calm, collected and worked with confidence and ease. I can’t wait to take my 2 younger children to see her. Thanks Dr. Bui and staff!
Dr. Bui was amazing!! I came in as a new patient with a ton of nerves but she was so nice, accommodating and put me at ease right away. I went in for a deep cleaning and was finished quickly with no pain and very little sensitivity after the numbing went away. I highly recommend Dr. Bui and look forward to seeing her and her team for my next visit
I grew up going to Dr. Whetstone and after having moved to 2 different states, I can say that I am so disappointed I have not been able to find a dentist as wonderful as him! The Freshwaters family loves this practice and I wish he would move and open a practice in D.C. so I could see him for my dental care again!

Dr. Earl Whetstone provided top quality care along the lines of what I specifically asked for, and then went over the top to make sure he did it with skill and make it the best there is. His assistant Caroline jumps to his calls to provide the best of care and they know how to work together to give me a fast implementation of exactly what was needed for my dentistry. He explains what the problem is and how he crafts his remediation, as if he were a professor teaching his students. He is the best dentist I have used in 50 years of different practitioners. I can''t recommend him more highly.
Love Dr. Whetstone's bedside manners. I dislike going to the Dentist but this is the first time in my life that I don't get stomach knots in the chair. Dr. Whestone is very patient and educational. The staff is awesome. Always pleasant and nice. Highly recommend 👍

Dr. Whetstone is the most trustworthy dentist I have ever visited. He is a perfectionist and keeps you informed about what he is doing as he works on your teeth. He always works with you to figure out how to best keep costs down, which is refreshing because you never feel like he is trying to recommend unnecessary treatments. His staff is also extremely friendly and welcoming, so I never dreaded going to the dentist. I have recently moved outside of the Bay Area and am sad that I have to find a new dentist. However, I have recommended him to all of my colleagues at my former job.

Very friendly, the front office greets you wifh a smile and is always very helpful with appointments and insurance. The hygienists are gentle and very thorough. Dr. Whetstone is a great guy who knows his stuff and does a great job, along with his very knowledgeable assistants. I will be back.

Me and my family have been patients of Dr. Earl for more than 20 years and he is by far the best dentist we have ever had; that is of course except my cousin who was my dentist when I was growing up in the 60's! Dr. Earl has a very special touch and way of working with his patients to make them feel at ease and confident in his tremendous abilities. He also has a great way of connecting to my son who is on the Autistic Spectrum with AD-HD. My son feared dentists until he met Dr. Earl and now they are Giant's buddies. Dr. Earl is always on the cutting edge using the latest techniques and technologies. He works hard so that his staff does the same. I highly recommend him without any reservations.M. Kalb

The most comfortable dental visits i have ever had. My father is a dentist and when I moved to California he recommended me to Dr. Whetstone. I have to say from the massaging dental chairs to the tv and headset I could not have been more comfortable. Dr. Whetstone is attentive and in tune with his clients needs and concerns. Bottom line, you have found your new dentist.
Dr. Whetstone is a great dentist he always greats me with a smile. And if you hate the dentist it's a breeze coming to Dr. Whetstone's everyone there from the ladies at the front desk to the dental assistants all so nice and friendly. They have TVs with headphones so you can blast out the cleaning or drilling sound with trashy TV or The Ellen Show.I would recommend Dr. Whetstone because he and his staff know costumer service and are friendly and are considerate of if you're in pain when they are working on your teeth.If you are in pain they stop working on your teeth and give you a break, but they encourage you to allow them to continue their dental work, but they work very hard to make you the most comfortable as possible.This has been my only dentist since I left my kiddy dentist. Highly recommended.

Having gone to Dr. Whetstone for more than five years, I feel enough time has passed for me to offer a fair and accurate assessment of him, his facility, and his staff. I was stunned by a couple of negative reviews that other patients wrote. I don't know what Dr. Whetstone they saw but it certainly isn't the one who has been caring for my teeth all of these years.First of all, the facility itself is quite impressive. The moment you enter the lobby you get a sense of pride and competence. The front desk personnel couldn't be more welcoming and helpful. If you even have to wait five minutes they apologize and keep you informed of how much longer it may be which, by the way, rarely happens!As you walk around you can't help but notice that everything is geared toward making the patient comfortable. Each room has a small television and headphones which is a nice distraction for someone like me who trembles just thinking about the drill! The decor is quite nice but not overdone. More impressive, however, is the fact that their high tech equipment, tools, and techniques are the latest and greatest available. Dr. Whetstone wants you to fully understand your options and never rushes through an appointment. If he finds decay or any other problem he displays a picture of your tooth on a monitor so you can visualize what he's talking about. Dr. Whetstone patiently explains the pros and cons of each option in laymen's terms. Taking into consideration your situation and feedback, Dr. Whetstone helps you to devise the best plan for treatment.If I do say so myself, my teeth are beautiful! People are always complimenting me on how nice my smile is and how white my teeth are. Mind you, I am a 55 year old woman who has been battling Leukemia for years. The medication has played havoc with my teeth and gums but Dr. Whetstone always manages to stay one step ahead of it. I honestly believe I would have lost most of my teeth by now if it weren't for Dr. Whetstone's dental expertise!

I've gone to Dr. Whetstone for years, and his work and his attitude have been superb. He has a relaxed, thorough way of explaining everything he does and telling the patient what to expect after treatments. The new massage chairs are great !Some years ago, a Czech student was living in my home. The student suffered a major dental injury in an ice hockey match and was poised to go back to the Czech Republic to get his teeth repaired. Dr. Whetstone made the initial assessment , and then voluntarily did the extensive work for the student --- completely for free. Now that's heroic !
I have been to many many dentists and most of them I have found to be like incompetent car mechanics - I have no idea what they're telling me is true, they do a filling and my bite's all wrong, everything is extremely uncomfortable if not painful, etc. etc.But, Dr. Whetstone is incredible. Incredible office and staff who treat you like family, extremely new equipment, latest technology and techniques and Dr. Whetstone himself is an incredible dentist. I've had a number of fillings filled by dr. whetstone and they were painless and done perfectly. Unfortunately, I had to move away about a year ago and regret very much that I can no longer see him. In fact, I may switch back to him and travel to see him twice a year because having a great dentist is so worth it.

In the one situation I had to use one while I was on vacation and it affirmed my feelings about his knowledge, skills and techniques. My son is mentally disabled and loves going to see Dr. Baseball (they both love the Giants!). His staff is friendly and professional. One of the best things I like about Dr. Whetstone and his staff is that they are at the forefront of the latest new techniques and information in dentistry. He and his staff is by far the best. I looked for a dentist for over 2 years before I found Dr Whetstone. He is very informative and thorough. His work is amazing. I had to have all my fillings of youth replaced since they cracked with age. Dr Whetstone worked around my schedule and went out of his way to make sure I was happy. I am very picky and he knows his work. He is also a dive master for those of us worried about fillings with bubbles at depth exploding. He also did a perfect match with two veneers I needed. Everyone I know said my smile looked so much better including my mother. He made it the least invasive as possible and every step of the process he personally followed up with a phone call.
